Kurukshetra : the land of epic Mahabharata

Punjab and Haryana has been the cradle of early Aryan civilization. It was on the banks of the Punjab Rivers that ancient Hindu sages had sung the Vedic hymns and authored the Vedas. Holy Kurukshetra is the seat of ancient Indina civilization: The land where the Vedas were written. Where Lord Krishna gave the Gita Updesh making action greater thank reward. Kurukshetra is also the land of epic Mahabharata. Here temples, holy water tanks, shrines and gurudwaras celebrate the Lord. This sacred book spells out the essence of Hinduism.

Kurukshetra, in Haryan, is held in great reverence by Hindus. It is here that thousands of devotees converge to have a holy dip in the Sarovar, on the occasion of festivals and other auspicious days. Come pray at Braham Sarovar, where Lord Brahma Himself designed a water body. Sannehit Saroar, the tank where all the holy waters meet and bring salvation. Jyotisar, the banyan shaded site where Lord Krishna gave the sermon of Bhagwad Gita.

Sthaneswar Mahadev Temple and Sri Maa Bhadra Kali Temple and Gurudwara are famous pilgrim destination. Sound and Light Show at Jyotisar is a visual delight that brings the message of Bhagwad Gita for the modern man.
