Lakshmi Narayan Temple (Birla Mandir) in New Delhi
In Delhi, the capital city of India, is the Lakshmi Narayan Temple (also know as Birla Mandir), A modern temple built by the Birlas in a six-year period (1933 - 1939) and was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, the temple houses the images of Narayan (Vishnu) and his consort Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth.

The walls of the temple are decorated with various Hindu symbols and quotes from the Gita and the Upanishads. The temple also has images of other deities as well. The temple is built in Orissan Style by using exterior is of white marble and red sandstone with tall curved towers. When ever you visit the temple don’t miss Aartis, performed during the evenings is worth attending.
