Mizoram
Mizoram – Mizo means man from the mountains or highlanders. Until 1972 a district of Assam, this young State of India is populated by hardy tribals who love their high mountains and dense forests. Most mizos are Christians now, but still follow tribal festivals. Most popular is Chapchar kut, a fun filled fiesta to launch the planting season.
